Explanations help you understand why Frappe Docker is designed the way it is and how its parts relate. Use them when you need to reason about a deployment decision or understand behavior that a setup command alone does not explain.

For example, explanations help answer why production code belongs in an image, which state survives container replacement, and why built assets follow the application version rather than the lifetime of a site's data. They establish the boundaries you need to understand before changing a deployment.
